Episode 12 - Sneak Peek #1
Jake's Past - In this clip we learn the Jake is a graduate of Embry-Riddle, the top civilian aviation school in the United States. Several military pilots have also attended this school prior to entering military service to have a good basic understanding of how and why an airplane is able to operate from a physics stand point. Also we learn that Jake was a civilian contractor for 14 months in Afghanistan and six months in Iraq. Both of these assignments were not as a uniformed member of the US Military. This does not rule out that he was working for either the NSA or CIA however. These seem likely candidates since he appears unable to talk about an incident that has him on the State Departments Flagged list. This is not a terrorist watch list, but rather person's of interest to US government agencies. There could be several reasons for this including his knowledge of top secret information vital to US security.
Episode 12 - Sneak Peek #2
Hawkins before the blast - In this clip we see that Hawkins has taken his children and is in the process of telling his former wife that either she joins the team or she will never see her children again. We also learn that Hawkins has a restraining order against him that was filed by his wife and was ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from the house. All though it is not unheard of for an FBI agent to have a family court order placed against them, it is unlikely that Hawkins is an active FBI agent. He would be severely curtailed in his ability to conduct investigations, etc... by his SAC (Special Agent in Charge) if this were the case.
Episode 13 - Sneak Peek
Black Jack Fairground - In this clip we see that the former Mayor Green, Jake, Dale, and Heather are entering a fairground (the CBS press release for the episode says it is "several hours away" from Jericho). Outside the gate, they are asked to hand in their guns before entering, and they grudgingly do so (they seem to trust they'll get them back, and the faces of the men at the gate are never seen). There is a sign at the gate stating that "Thieves will be strung up". After they enter, the four of them get out of Jake's car, and Heather openly wonders if they really 'string up' thieves. Jake spots something, and they all look behind her to see a man hanging from a very high pole, with a rope around his neck. Fade to black.
A trip to a swap meet brings some news from the outside
world in this preview of episode 13 of Jericho.

They said the show lost steam at the end..........duhh you should not have taken a 4-5 week vacation.I sure hop showcase or someone else picks this up

I'm going to go out on a whim and wonder out loud if the Black Jack Fairground is the grounds where the Kansas State Fair is held. That would make it Hutchinson. Which would place it near Witchita. That would be several hours away from the presumed area of Jericho. I do remember them saying that they could sell anything of certain types of metal because it held radiation. Dale said that they weren't in an area where it would have affected the metal but Black Jack was. So that means that Black Jack would have to have been closer to a black than Jericho. Any ideas as to whether I am anywhere close on this one!
